Patrice Barakat

Patrice is one of the most sought after Choreographers in the country. She has worked inside the studio atmosphere for 23 years. She travels as guest choreographer to numerous Studios/Universities across the country, earning countless Choreography & High Point Awards.

Patrice’s students have held numerous titles, have performed in music videos, industrials, television, film and have worked extensively on Broadway. Patrice has been the resident jazz choreographer for the University of Tennessee Dance Team for the past ten seasons… Five of which earned them National Championships.

Most recently, Patrice has been hired to choreograph for the New York Knicks City Dancers with her work being seen in the epic venue, Madison Square Garden. It is Patrice’s mission to help dancers find their worth and know they can “BELIEVE” that anything is possible.

Francine Zubiate

Francine started dancing at the age of 7 receiving her training at several local studios in Los Angeles and Orange County. She competed regionally and nationally for ten years and was invited to dance in Spain and Japan. She went on to study dance at Mt. San Antonio college as a member of the Repertory Dance Company later transferring to Cal State Fullerton.

As dance instructor she spends a lot of her time traveling with Kids Artistic Revue as a National Judge. Francine has been teaching along side Patrice and Suzanne Barakat for many years at one of the top studios in Southern California. Due to her well rounded training, she teaches several styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap and hip hop. Her students have won several high point awards and have been featured in music videos, commercials for JC Penny, and the motion picture Dream Girls. With fourteen years of teaching experience under her belt, Francine is excited to call Cutting Edge Dance Center her new home.

Kiana Gachett

Kiana Gachett is a former Miss Teen and Miss Dance America. Transitioning from competitive dancer to teacher/choreographer has been an exciting journey for her! She is well versed in all styles of dance and has won numerous high point awards for her Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop Choreography. Kiana has traveled the country as assistant choreographer to her teacher and mentor, Patrice Barakat and is now being requested to choreograph many pieces of her own across the country!
